Laurence Ainouz is the former Novartis SVP Global Head of Digital Acceleration Labs, a business unit she built in Switzerland, the USA and Israel, bringing novel approaches and methodologies to generate innovative technological solutions to profoundly transform healthcare and medicine and generate collaboration with startups & strategic partnerships. The Digital Acceleration Labs built prototypes and solutions, scouted and invested in start ups, ran hackathons, tech challenges, etc.
Previously, Laurence was SVP Chief Innovation Officer, Teva Pharmaceuticals, the world’s largest provider of generic medicines. She was responsible for introducing all aspects of Digital Health to the organization, from new technologies to new business models.
Before her Healthcare journey, Laurence co-founded and ran WorldGSM the first ecommerce website solely dedicated to Telecom products in France (acquired in 2006 by ModeLab (Paris:MDL) working closely with the phone makers to shape the new generation of cell phones.
Laurence sits on the board of the non-profit United Hatzalah, a unique global organization that has disrupted the way Emergency Medical Services are provided. 6,000 geo-localized volunteers and a fleet of “ambucycles” (2 wheels ambulances) are bringing critical medical care in less than 3 minutes anywhere it operates, in Israel, USA, UK, Panama, Mexico, Ukraine. Laurence is the President of the French Entity.
Laurence also sits on the board of TOM, a global network of 4,500 makers deeply impacting the lives of thousands of differently abled people with makethons where people with special needs and “Makers” develop solutions together. TOM has launched the first global makerspace completely dedicated to assistive technologies at the heart of the innovation ecosystem of Tel Aviv. It also has a portfolio of hundreds of prototypes with the potential to impact 250M people.
Laurence is also on the board of The Guatemalan Astronomy Observatory, the World Woman Future Institute.
Laurence is also a global speaker, an angel investor, a mentor, and currently runs a boutique consulting firm, LSA Consulting.
