Interim Executive Director
Sharon Knight is interim Executive Director of Stop the Spread (STS). In her leadership role, she sits on the IA management team and is responsible for STS strategy, operations and communications. She also plays an active role in partnerships and investments, ensuring that STS is achieving its mission of meeting the needs of underserved communities during the COVID crisis.
Sharon has led diverse functions and multi-national teams at both Fortune 500 and venture capital backed companies for 30+ years. Prior to joining Stop the Spread, Sharon was the President and COO of Hawthorne Effect which was created to democratize clinical trials, improving access and diversity while ensuring comprehensive data collection. She has also served as the President of 1Life Healthcare (d/b/a One Medical Group), her first foray in healthcare after creating a global shared services development team at Electronic Arts. Prior to EA, Sharon spent 15 years in finance at Gap, YUM Brands and BMO Harris Bank.
Sharon holds an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA in Economics from Smith College. She currently serves on the board on CarePartners Initiative, which is addressing the needs of families in Sonoma Valley living with cognitive decline.
