“In my daily life, I continuously search for ways to limit my use of water and waste production in general, whether it’s using a waste free toothpaste or a reusable water bottle. In Virginia Beach when I was in high school, I participated in “Clean the Bay Day” several years in a row, where my family and I spent the entire day removing waste from the Chesapeake bay. However, I want to be able to do more for communities who don’t have clean and equal access to water, and I believe this opportunity will give me the tools to accomplish those goals.”
