Recent graduate from Drake University (summa cum laude with departmental honors) double majors in LPS, and sociology/anthropology with a minor in history. Deeply passionate about building a more sustainable, inclusive, environmentally sound, and prosperous Iowa for future generations.
As a Circle Our Cities Land Scout for Sustainable Iowa Land Trust (SILT), I am seeking to meet landowners in and around Polk County interested in protecting their land as permanent table food farms. SILT is working as a steward of the land to permanently protect Iowa land to grow nature-friendly table food while providing land access to socially disadvantaged farmers. I am honored to represent the organization in and around Polk County to work towards providing equitable access to fresh, and nutritious local food systems.
Ultimately, the Circle Our Cities campaign will enrich livelihoods while stimulating our local economy. SILT is working to protect rich Iowan farmland while creating sustainable food networks to restore access to nutrient-dense table foods locally produced.
