Sandra is CEO and Founder of certified B-Corp, 10Power, which is providing renewable energy internationally to communities that lack access to electricity with focus on project development and finance for commercial-scale solar projects in Haiti. 10Power partners with local installers with a gender empowerment lens, working to realize the UN Sustainable Development Goals and realize the Fourth World. 10Power's Haiti projects include the largest solar and energy storage at any UNICEF base in the world and a solar-powered water desalination plant (in conjunction with GivePower, SolarCity and Tesla's non-profit) with the capacity to provide clean drinking water to up to 40,000 people. Sandra serves on the board of the Foundation for Climate Restoration and is a founding member of the Resilient Markets co-operative. Previously she worked with AutoGrid creating energy saving apps for utilities using smart meter Big Data, scaling the company through $14M in financing from prototype to a global brand. Sandra also Co-Founded and served as President and COO of energy efficiency company Powerzoa. She has a Sustainable MBA from Presidio Graduate School, has taught 'Race, Activism and Climate Justice' at SFSU and has been a guest lecturer at California College of the Arts and Stanford University.
